Capitol Kids Return Policy

We want you to be delighted with every purchase you make at Capitol Kids. If there is any problem we hope that you will let us know. We will work with you to solve problems you may have with your merchandise. We expect the best and you should too.

Your receipt must be presented for all returns/exchanges and refunds: We have a 30-day, money back, return policy for non-sale and non-seasonal items. All returns must be presented to us in saleable condition. Items must not be used or played with, they must be un-worn, un-washed, clean and free of animal hair, smoke and other odors. All tags must be intact and items must be in original, undamaged packaging. If you are included in our customer database and give us your name when making purchases, we can find a copy of your receipt if you have misplaced it.

Holiday and Seasonal Purchases: Seasonal and holiday items and clothing must be returned or exchanged before the holiday.

Sales: Marked down items are final sales. Upon request, we may extend up to a 3-day “try it on” exemption during the beginning days of end of season sales. This will be noted on your sales slip. These items can be exchanged for other sale items only. There are no returns or exchanges permitted from sales during Maxwell Street Days.

Gifts: When making purchases for gifts, please be aware of our return and exchange policies. We are happy to provide gift receipts.

Holiday Gifts: October and November purchases intended for holiday gift giving may have an extension of our regular 30-day policy; however, all returns and exchanges must be made before January 1.

Method of refund: We offer store credit without an expiration date. Refunds are issued in the following ways: Credit card purchases are credited to your charge account. Cash purchases under $50. are refunded immediately. Cash purchases over $50. and purchases made by check are refunded by check and mailed to you within 3 weeks.
